Dan Kaminsky & Kevin Mitnick Hacked
Just quoting from the text file:
Dan Kaminsky is a noob. This guy does not know the first thing about security. His boxes were a crazy combination of half-updated shit, half-removed shit, half-installed shit, half-configured shit. The lack of things working properly actually blocked a bit of 0day. But Dan, do not go selling that as some kind of advanced defense – you provided us with plenty of local holes to exploit and root.Dan is a selfish jerkoff who is hated by the security industry and the
underground alike. He’s fat and ugly in a way that only Gadi Evron could love. Is that hairy ass picture yours or ccg’s? Do we want to know? When Dan made a huge stink about DNS flaws about a year ago (July 2008) we knew we had to own him sooner or later. So we did. Him and his little whitehat bitch friends too.
Dan cannot even administer a box, let alone preach security. He lacks all real legitimacy because he only hunts for flashy bugs that he can turn into a big story. This guy would be the least important character in any real security organization, the fatass past his prime (did Dan have a prime?) who obsesses over areas that no-one else wants to touch just so he can find a niche and avoid getting let go.
One more thing: They claim they got Mitnick through his own game….. SOCIAL ENGINEERING!! That has to be the icing on the cake!!
ZFO FTW!!

Hospital Hacker GhostExodus Owns Himself – Arrested
das licht dude, firstly, I must tell U tht I’ve been on this site/blog for around half a decade and not once have I heard anyone at all claim to be a L337 #@x0r, or any crap like that (except maybe on the retards posts). Most of us are in fact self-proclaimed n00bs/security enthusiasts (me included) and are here just to keep ourselves updated on the events in the world of Network security.
That said and done, lets get back to the point. The very fact that he “hacked” a HVAC shows that he had either no knowledge of how important a component it is in any medical institute or had a fair idea of wht he was doing and wanted to show that he was up for the challenge. I have nothing against people who simply hack webpages (by wht methods whatsoever) to spread propoganda eg: http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=syrian+hacker+gnom but the very fact that he did it to a HVAC proves that he’s a complete moron!! More evidence of this comes from his statements like: “You almost can’t help it ya know, It must be done!”.
for somebody who calls himself “Das Licht” which I figure means “The Light”, you seriously need to get out of the darkness!!

DNS DDoS Attack Takes Down China Internet
whoa
From the article:”The incident revealed holes in China’s DNS that are “very strange” for such a big country, said Konstantin Sapronov, head of Kaspersky’s Virus Lab in China.”
You can say that again!!

WarVOX 1.0.1 Released – Telephony Analysis & War Dialing Suite
OK, I just wanted to ask this to someone who actually knows, so I’ll just blurt it out…..
is wardialling really still really as important as it was a decade or two ago?? I mean I do know tht many greats started off with stuff like wardialling, but whts really the use of a traditional wardialling in todays scenario of high speed broadband internet??
please someone clarify……sorry if this seems like a n00b question

Industrial Control Systems Safe? I Think Not
yeah I completely agree with darknet….see we all point fingers at the taliban saying tht they may get their hands on pakistani nukes….but the fact is tht the probability of the same being done by a cyber security n00b…..I’m pretty sure U heard of the CERN LHC being hacked as well….this shows how major establishments are under threat!!

Friends!!!!
Its amazing how people sell out to money!!!
@ dblackshell…..yeah its unethical, but if it works, MS will have a case to fight, possibly turn the conficker coder into another mitnick or mckinnon, drag him/her to court for an infinitely long process, and hope tht their “image” improves as a result…… after all, instead of a ZODIAC serial killer situation, a THE FREEWAY KILLER kinda case will do wonders for microsofts cause

Kyrgyzstan Taken Offline by DDoS Attacks
Yeah I know…the same thing still happens in india as well….not actually teaching…its more about how to use tools to exploit Government sites etc….No one bothers talkin abt the implications if U get caught, so guys think its completely safe. Then they get caught and spend the rest of their lives in jail!!
Infact many people think its pretty cool to be a hacker (more of a n00b) and learn L337 speak. U have no idea how many chicks I’ve picked up just coz I know a bit abt network security!!
And U said nerds were last on the social calender….. I’ve been with more chicks than most jocks in college!!

along with dominance, I read recntly tht a DDOS works out real cheap…. infact it costs a few cents per PC used.
and the more the PCs, the cheaper each one is (to be added to the DDOSing group)Kyrgyztan has done nothing much to annoy the russians….its just tht cyber laws in Russia vary very much from those in the west. at the same time, they offer 100% protection to their citizens n case of exrtradition cases
This simply makes it easier for russian wannabes to sharpen their ’skills’. Some of them are really good at this stuff though!!
