There has been some debate on Darknet about this kit and it’s use, obviously it’s a kit for beginners but it is useful. Advanced chaps like you and me (you guys know who you are) most likely have the requisite tools and knowledge to build/find/etc whatever we need to get the job done.
That’s partially what this blog is about in the first place, me sharing with everyone the tools I find on my way around the Internet looking for things I need to get my job done.
You’ve probably noticed the tools tend to come out in themes, depending on what I’m doing at the moment. Sometimes forensice, sometimes SQL injection, sometimes data carving and so on.
This Ethical Hacker Kit from Hackers Center comes into play for those guys starting out who don’t even know what we are talking about when we say the app is vulnerable to a LFI.
The kit is aiming to be a fairly comprehensive collection of tools and papers to speed up the learning curve of someone who is interested in ethical hacking.
There are many unpublished (completely new) papers written by Doz (author of the kit and member of hackerscenter.com). It is made easy to use by the division into folders for each main area of hacking, so in each folder there are tools and papers related to the area (including source code, compiled tools and setup).
You can find the list of contents here:
The size of the kit is 1GB, and it is divided into 4 downloadable parts.
There are some reviews published from previous customers of the kit here:
Most of these guys are IT professionals, school teachers, pen testers, junior consultants and wannabe hackers.
The kit is also used as a distance learning tool by the GEHA (Global Ethical Hacker Association).
So if you’re interested grab it here:

Let me be the first to add few things about this kit.
Positives:
=======
1. A nice grouping of several tools and some articles which may enable you to start your journey towards your Ethical hacking career.
2. Covers the tools for all the stages of penetration testing.
3. For each stage, there is a small article/tutorial which explains the need of that stage and “how to”. (I think this is very useful for beginners)
Some suggestions (for improvements):
========================
1. Cover some more advanced stuff (especially tutorials, probably some “How To” videos)
2. There are folders for every category, and when you open a folder there are several tools (mostly zipped files). it probably will confuse the user as to “which tool shouid i choose”.. It will be a good idea to have a flash based or HTML frontend with a list of tools for each category and a small description of the tool and a link to the exe.
The list of contents for the kit is impressive, but I would like to know how hands-on each section is. For instance, in the section on worms and trojans, etc, I would want to have some instruction on creating, packing and using them…on an isolated system, of course.
If you have an information in that regard, I would find that to be entirely useful.
Well, paying the money now. I’ll report back my opinions soon enough
@Sir Henry
Let us know what’s in the kit. I am more than willing to share some of my course materials with you on the above subject.
Great kit although $55 is kinda high for me right now.
@goodpeople
I have a ton of eBooks I would be will to share with you. If theres a specific topic or category I can go through my collection and see if theres something on it.
@eM3rC
If you hang around here for a while, you’ll see all the important tools and utils come by. $55 isn’t too much, but you can also download the tools that are being discussed here.
Can any one tell me about Kit version 2? Seems like Old users already have it, any comments would be appreciated since im interested in purchasing!
Looks very Good.
You can view the video of new Kit here:
http://kit.hackerscenter.com/
Just click on Video Demonstration, looks well made, but i dont ahve it .. so not to sure.
Well here’s my 100th post
@goodpeople
This forum has great stuff for everything security related but I think I’m gonna do some more searching for programming stuff.
@PeopleofChina
Thanks for the update and link.
Hi, I’m admin of hackerscenter.com powering the kit.
I write in response to questions about Kit version2.
It has been released on March 5th and it is completely renewed and improved. I don’t say this to increase sales. I say this because I paid much attention on the feedbacks we received from our customers so we added:
+ Completely new interface: the learning steps are guided through a handy executable that shows the sections and teir contents. Easy to browse and read
+ In addition to the guides written by Doz, one of hackerscenter.com admins, there are books, tools and source codes with which you can go through every section covered in the kit.
+ The tools in version 1 are now updated to their latest version
A lot of efforts have been taken to make the learning easier and the quality higher.
Kit contents list is here: http://kit.hackerscenter.com/contents.html
While there’s a video demo here:

Enjoy
Clever package though not really sure where the word ethical comes into it?
Surely hacking is always breaking into somewhere where you’re not wanted so shouldn’t really be encouraged?
The word ethical comes in your actions.
You will never find a guide to teach you ethics. But you can find guides to teach you hacking. How you use the techniques you learn is not something we can handle.
It’s the story, as old as the world, of the knife that can be used to cut bread or used to stab your enemy.
It is up to you and YOUR ethics, and I’m frankly surprised that there’s still someone who asks about it.
So you may ask “why,then, you called it ethical?”, the simple answer is to discoursage any illegal action and guide newcomers towards a future in the IT Security industry and not a future in jail. But once again a name, a title, a guide will never teach you ethics.
ah right, that makes sense
i cant get on the site to download it. give a 403 error
Their website got hacked and torn down by someone called cyber terrorist. miserable little script kiddie i am sure.
does anyone have a mirror of it or can someone upload one please?
Producer of hacking tool-kit got hacked… wowwww.
Why didnt they try to run those tools to check the security of their own website??
No xcuses for this one…
security professionals must secure their own assets first
My hosting had a mass defacement, their servers hacked.
I’m waiting for them to restore my access to the site.
And that one is not a skiddie, unfortunately.
He has defaced all the major security portals on the net…
everyone know who he is, but no laws to catch him…
How’s that then - does he live in a country without hacking laws?
What’s the motivation for defacing the sites, is he a vandal or is there an ideology behind it?
Either missing laws or covered by govt since he hacked even into microsoft and he’s still there…there must be some 0day around but I’m taking my forensics steps to understand more…
Saudi arabia, someone called Cyber terrorist…nothing else to add.
I am waiting for new hosting to set up my new server…
can you host it when they do?
anyone who completely defaces a website, with few execptions, is nothing more than a miserable little script kiddie, he is wasting his skills on destructive instead of using them for the constructive.
This guy Hacked Hosting Server and Not Web sites //// its actually against the law for the guys from Hackers Center to scan and test for exploit on there own hosting.
Zinho,
Some time ago, you mentioned that you were going to see if you could get one of the white papers written by Doz, that you claim add value to the EHK, on your website for download. Have you got any further with that?
Hi, yes with kit version 2 we have produced a demo video that should be uploaded in matter of minutes (we have switched to new servers so you can imagine how much work I have). It shows main section and all the new things of the v2, new interface from which reading content, new contents, new tools.
Will add the link to you shortly
Btw, kit website is up now: http://kit.hackerscenter.com
is there anyone that has it that could possibly upload it for me. I aint one of those ppl out to just get free software. I would be happy to pay for it but the problem is i cant. My family recently went through bankruptcy do to a private business crash and we cant get credit card no more. Please someone upload it and send me the link.
Yes, you have a video, but what about a sample of the white papers that is the content for which you are actually charging?
I would also be interested to hear how much testing your new interface has received. As much as your website?
Dear Bogbitch,
noone told you to buy the kit.It’s not the first time that you come up with your stupid comments. I can provide you hundreds of satisfied customers reviews and even papers if you were a polite person and not talking randomly. Instead of saying bullshit build up a web site as big as hackerscenter then manage it in your spare time, on your own, when the only money coming in is a percentage from the kit sales.
And for your information my site got hacked in a mass defacement of vpsland servers.
Another mature insult? Very professional!
I asked politely for you to provide a sample of the white papers written by Zod, you said you would see about putting one on the website. As yet, no sample has appeared.
Until I see such a sample, I will continue to believe that what you are in fact selling, is a collection of GNU/GPL licensed sofware in contravention of the spirit, if not the law of the GNU/GPL license.
Your insults are indicative of someone backed into a corner.
I am noy ’saying bullshit’ about your site or the EHK, I want PROOF that you are not profiteering at the expense of other peoples’ hard work.
Wow nice, blog, by way im owner of EH Kit, Very nice and best out there, And any tool that is License is not in kit but hyper linked to its source home page Bogwtch. Good Job Hackers Central!
Sign Petition to Ban Blog Witch! : ) from this Blog.
This comment is not meant to be advertising,
This comment is meant to satisfy Bohwitch once and for all so that everytime I come here to say something I won’t get bored by his complaints:
http://kit.hackerscenter.com/images/snap1.jpg
http://kit.hackerscenter.com/images/snap2.jpg
http://kit.hackerscenter.com/images/snap3.PNG
The above is an extract of the interface I was talking about from which one reads *OUR* written content.
Snap1 shows the contents in the web app security area.
All the buttons on the right are linked to OUR papers.
In the snap3 you see the first page of the CSRF attack-defense article I PERSONALLY wrote for the kit.
I added also the fist page of remote file inclusion paper written by Doz (as it is the rest of the kit)
Structure is hierarchical: 12 main areas in which you find our papers for theiry basics, related tools and related texts to go through the subject more in depth.
The new interface will prevent people from concentrating too much on tools without having first given a look at the theory basics.
So under each of OUR papers you are able to get the tools bundled with the kit with just a click.
Hope this clears anyone’s doubt
Thanks for the attention
@ReCoN,
If you are the owner of EH Kit, then perhaps YOU would be willing to release one of the white papers that are supposed to add the value to the EH Kit.
My issue is as follows:
You are selling a collection of GNU/GPL software. If your value is for the code content then this is a violation of the spirit and possibly the law of the GNU/GPL. Zinho claims that the white papers are the ‘value added’ content that justified the price tag over and above the cost of duplication that can be charged under the terms of the GNU/GPL. I have asked Zinho to provide a sample of the white papers written by Zod so that potential purchasers can see if the value for money is being offered.
Of course, if you have the copyright owners’ permission to include their work and to profit from it then I will happily offer a full retraction of any derogatory comments I may have made. Until I see proof that the EH Kit is NOT profiteering from others’ work, I will continue to ask the pointed questions that are not being particularly well received.
I won’t add anything else as this is getting ridicolous.
I’ve given snapshots of our articles and you’re still bitching.
Problem closed for me.
Im not the developer but im a user of the kit, i bought mine, just saying its all well linked.
This is the demo video:

recon email me
@ReCon,
Sorry, my mistake!
I’m glad to hear that someone is happy with the kit.
The issue I have is simple. AFAICS, the Hackers Kit contains software distributed under the GNU Public License. This usually comprises of many, many hours work of developers who have created the software for the common good and it irks me when someone profits from their work.
The Hackers Center claim that their white papers give the pack the value added content that their are charging for. I am simply asking for a sample document so that potential purchasers can see what they are getting for their money.
If the Hackers Center were willing to allow me to download a copy of the pack, I would be more than happy to give it an honest review. I’m not so arrogant as to slate it just because Zinho and I have disagreed, if I think it is a good product I will be happy to reccommend it.
So, how about it Zinho? I’ll review your pack, I’ll even compare it to some of the professional courses available and if I’m mistaken, I’ll make a full and unreserved apology right here and we can put this discussion to bed once and for all.
Sounds like some one wants a free kit lolz
@CloudNine,
It might sound like it, but I’ve been asking Zinho to provide a sample of the white paper for review for quite some time.
The included tools are all GPL AFAIAA therefore it is likely that I have them and probably several more besides since the kit is only 1GB in size.
An example white paper is not going to cripple their business so why are they so reticent in releasing one?
its not that i want a free one its that i have no way of paying tho. id love to pay if i could. i respect that the authors deserve money and need it to keep making good software.
@To anyone who cant’t pay:
I’ve just launched a commenter of the month contest.
Prizes are the kit for the best commenter and a free digital subscription for 1 year to hakin9 magazine for 2nd best commenter.
You’ll just have to take part of our discussions/contents with your comments as you do it here on Darknet. Easy, above all now since I launched the contest just yesterday.
Waah…I’m on a dead topic…but I just saw this site that has a copy of cyber-terrorists hack of zend.com
certainly seems like a sript kiddie attack…but then U can never say can U!!!
